The Facebook Advantage
Other than the insane amount of traffic you can get from Facebook, you can also have access to millions of highly profiled users on Facebook to advertise to. This is one of the main advantages of advertising on Facebook as compared to advertising on Google via Google AdWords. Facebook advertising is very effective because of the precise targeting method it uses to present the ads to the right viewers. Let me show you what I mean below.
Have you ever noticed that most of the ads that appear on your Facebook profile page kind of match your interests? This is because your profile page contains a lot of information about you: your sex, your interests and what you like to do. Facebook makes use of your information and serves you ads that it thinks might interest you the most. Above is a screen shot from the Info tab on the Facebook personal Profile page. Notice how closely related the ads are to the interests listed by the Facebook user. Isn’t that fantastic?
Earlier, we have talked about your need to locate the right people to purchase your products if you want to be successful in marketing your products. Therefore, marketers who earn tons of money online use Facebook ads to find the right group of people (niche) that is interested in the products they are selling as affiliates! When Facebook users click on the ads and make purchases at the affiliates’ websites, the marketers will get paid a commission! The commission rates usually vary from 10% to 75% of the price of the products and the marketers can usually get about $20 – $100 per sales depending on the products being sold.
